\nPermanent\u00a0residence\u00a0card gives us several advantages, e.g. significantly simplifies the process of applying for British citizenship as well as it can improve our credit history which is critical for mortgage applications (see below).\u00a0From 12 November 2015 EU applicants seeking to reply on a right of permanent residence in an application for British citizenship must provide a document confirming that right.<\/strong>\u00a0This post is dedicated to this important change in existing immigration laws.

\nBecause more and more people ask us for help in regards to this particular matter, we have decided to compile some of the most important information in relation to permanent\u00a0residence\u00a0applications and highlight potential risks resulting from most common mistakes.

\nIn the run-up to fast approaching referendum regarding Britain either leaving or staying in the EU, we receive more and more enquiries about British citizenship. \u00a0However, we have noticed that very few customers take the advantage of much more convenient solution in the form\u00a0of applying for permanent\u00a0residence\u00a0card in the first instance<\/strong>.\u00a0This approach\u00a0greatly increases the chances of obtaining British citizenship and is significantly less expensive<\/strong>. The cost of making an application to Home Office for naturalisation for one person only is \u00a31005, while the cost of applying for permanent residence\u00a0card is only \u00a365. Both applications require completing long and very detailed forms as well as attaching numerous additional documentation. This is why the\u00a0consequences of our application being rejected by the Home Office are far more disappointing when applying for British citizenship.\u00a0<\/strong>Moreover, there is no shortage of good reasons why applying for permanent\u00a0residence\u00a0card is worthwhile.

\n– Permanent\u00a0residence\u00a0cards allows people from outside the EU to legally live, work and set up business in the United Kingdom. It is this document that will allow you to remain in the UK should it decide to leave the EU in the referendum.<\/div>\n
